Clock and Quotes Freezing on Screen Locking

Version of Variety 0.8.9

Describe the bug I have quotes and the clock both listed on the desktop, and I have my lock screen set to 45 minutes. Whenever the screen locks, or if the computer is rebooted, it's as if teh clock freezes, and the quotes don't change every 2 minutes anymore as they're supposed to. The clock only resyncs to the actual time, and quotes keep changing if I select the tray icon, click "Next". I have it set to a static background, so I of course have to click "Previous" again to return to my chosen background. This has happened consistently since utilizing Variety for about a week.

Context This happens everytime my screen locks, and then I unlock the computer. This also happens when I reboot the computer. It does NOT happen if I select shutdown and power it back on again.

To Reproduce

1. Whenever the screen locks, unlock the screen, and you will see the clock frozen and the same quote from 4 hours earlier.
2. Reboot the computer, and the clock will have frozen.
