It runs in Manjaro-KDE but doesn't change the wallpapers

Variety 0.8.12-1 (downloaded form AUR via yay) dependencies satisfied

I installed the program correctly without errors. It runs and from the try bar icon I can access the menu and even see the wallpapers on the overlay, but when I touch one, doesn't change it. I am running a laptop with an external monitor but none of them changes. On the log I see some errors in the .py (I don´t know if I have to run an specific python version)

In runs but it not makes any changes in the wallpapers

Context

To Reproduce

1. I install the package via AUR
2. Check dependencies OK
3. Run it. (This time from zsh with -v option to generate the log for this post but is the same if I am not)
4. The program loads but nothing change.
5. selected an image from the overlay (the one when you choose manual wallpaper selector, just below history in the program menu) without success.
6. exit the program.
