there's no reason to not have arch support, it's well established, it would allow the official packages to streamline their recipe a tad more by leaning more on us, and https://github.com/xcir/vmod-packager could leverage them more easily

There is one reason, packagecloud doesn't support arch packages and we don't want to maintain multiple distribution channels for our own package builds.

I understand the will to not deal with multiple channels, but supporting a distribution here doesn't mean we have to provide the binary packages. We have alpine tooling in this repo but not on packagecloud for example
