Displayed price different to product price

I have been spending a lot of time trying to decipher an issue with product prices being displayed differently on the front end to the back end. I only have role based pricing set up for wholesale and trade customers. Regular customers who are not logged in, and admin, see the regular prices.

The issue occurs when a price is updated. The price on the front end shows the old price, and the new price shows only in the back end.

For a long time I thought it was something to do with caching, but now even with the caching plugin turned off, I still have the issue

1. Go to '...'

3. Scroll down to '....'
4. See error

Expected behavior I expect prices to update on the front end as soon as they are changed on the back end.
