A few typos in Chap 3 #35

Again a few typos I spotted while reading chapter 3:

3.2

[1]

„.[^uniform] [^uniform]:“ -> should probably be displayed differently

3.4.3

[2] „down-weights extremely values“ -> should probably mean extreme values

3.4.4.

[3] „to let the priors to have too“ -> to let the priors have

3.5

[4] „The designation principled’’“ -> missing quotation mark

3.6

[5] „Once the posterior distributions p(Θ∣y) are available, the predictions based on these distributions, by integrating out the parameters:“ -> the subclause lacks a verb

[6] The word „from“ is cut off in Figure 3.10

One thought regarding the chapter:

Chapter 3.2.1.2

I struggle with seeing a „fat hairy caterpillar“ in the given figure 3.3. or am I missing something here? There’s also another plot between 3.4. and 3.5. which has no title.

Best, Max

Hi Max, I think I have fixed all these problems. Thanks for the close reading. The changes won't show up on the html version until the next deployment.

The fat hairy caterpillar, yeah, it's just a metaphor that they use in Bayesian statistics. Basically, the lines representing the chains need to overlap. Later you will see what a problematic trace plot looks like (later chapter).
