Mobile screen turns off if GPS fix is not obtained quickly or is lost for too long #9

We currently reset the activity timer when the map is drawn, but the map is
not automatically redrawn if there are no GPS updates, so this leads to the
screen turning off if a GPS fix is not obtained before the timer runs out.
