Backup-NG and network #3817

Context

Expected behavior

Hey! My nework segment is here

When i backup (sheduled in BackupNG) VM on Xenserver1 to Storage1 copy speed is normal (aprox 1gbps) But when i backup (sheduled in backupNG too) VM on Xenserver2 to Storage2, backup speed to very slow (aprox 5mbps) Xenserver2 and Storage2 is single network segment (aprox speed 1gbps)

Is it possible to achieve VM transfers in one segment? (without transferring them to Router1)?

Hi,

By design, all traffic has to flow through your Xen Orchestra server. XenServer can't "push" a backup directly to a storage.

Xen Orchestra proxies will allow this in the future.
