Error on vm.copy #4311

I'm attempting to copy/move a 1.8TB VM from local storage to my 7TB iSCSI NAS SR.

This appears to be a XenServer issue more than an XO issue.

What version of XenServer/XCP-ng are you using?

I'm using XenServer 7.4. I can copy other smaller VMs with no problem. I though it might be a size limitation issue.

That may be, but Xen Orchestra has nothing to do in the copy, it simply gives the order to XenServer to do it but does nothing by itself.

So I tried Backup NG replicating another 3TB VM to my 7TB iSCSI NAS. It runs for about an hour and fails. This is strange because all the VMs were originally on the NAS and I copied them to the XenServer via XO for better drive performance.

You can try setting guessVhdSizeOnImport to true in your configuration, that may help.

I've been having issues finding the config.toml so I can change the guessVhdSizeOnImport to true.

If you are up to date, it's not longer necessary as it's enabled by default.
