Big images doesn't display on IE8 #260

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Open IE8  
2. Go to http://vwmeconomics.com/professionals/professional-staff.html
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The page works fine on IE9, Firefox, Safari and Chrome.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
galleriffic 2.0, Microsoft XP

Please provide any additional information below.

I've tried some of the solutions offer on this forum but to no avail.
