email address as user name fails. #332

on FeedMaze.com a user created an account with their email address as their 
username ( 
http://feedmaze.com/frank@efills.com ).

The suer appears as frank, but the link to their profile page is as above.
The link failssaying the username can not be found.

SHould we add validation to prevent "@" or should we be able to find that users 
ID?

No, "@" should not be allowed as usernames.
