I'm having the same issue here. I ensured that Elden Ring is selected in the program. Tried running as administrator, unchecking Read-Only on the Regulation.bin file, etc.
Also having this issue. Tried with regulation.bin and app files in multiple unprotected locations, under admin privs, etc.
@abxygg @cptncalvin Loading the files from this link (https://github.com/vawser/Yapped-Rune-Bear/releases/tag/1.08) instead of from the downloaded repo's /Yapped/bin/x64/Release/
path got it working for me.
Might want to update the instructions, but THANK YOU for all the work, Vawser!

This worked for me as well. Thank you so much!
same things happened here tho, downloading from release and running Yapped under admin privs doesn't seems to fix anything.
Same problem nothing seem work.
This was fixed with the 1.09 release (and onwards).
Same problem with 1.09 :(
I'm trying to modify regulation.bin for Elden Ring, but every time I try to open regulation.bin with Yapped I get the error message posted below. I made sure the combo box in the file menu is set to Elden Ring, and there are no other modded files present in the game's folders.
