I'm ok to accept, but if I switch to github actions in the future, will I break your setup? Actually I plan to switch to github actions some day.
As lon as the package is there in github then should ok to support power on ,Pls merge
@vbauerster there is no Power hardware in Azure/GitHub actions today. We are working on a scheme for using a runner to the IBM Cloud but we don't have that completed yet. I believe you could still run travis testing for ppc64le and intel on GHA for a while. We expect to support github actions some day, maybe our "some day" will align. ;)
BTW, one option is to move some of your testing to GH Actions, but leave Travis up for Power builds, and any others that you might want to do that aren't supported in GHA. Travis CI currently supports the most architectues/models. Not ideal but gives the widest set of free testing.
This is part of the Ubuntu distribution for ppc64le. This helps us simplify testing later when distributions are re-building and re-releasing,We typically build applications for customers and ISVs, and while we don't use this package directly, we do count on all of the packages in debian/ubuntu to build other packages. So we more likely have this as a second or third level dependency and couldn't tell you explicitly which features we use or our usage model,For more info tag @gerrith3.
