Designing the workshop structure, content, and assigning tasks #1

Hey there, I suggest we use this issue to start thinking on the workshop structure and content. It would be also nice if you could share where would you like to contribute specifically (lectures and creation of the exercises).

@veddox, could you provide a feedback on what you think is missing or what you think is too much, based on the program in the Readme.md?

@ludmillafigueiredo, could you please list the topics that you would like to take care of?

After that, we can think of restructuring the program, and assign names next to each program section. Then we can start working on our own, and maybe we'll need one or two meetings to ensure that all of our work is consistent.

Cheers!

I really like most of this, I think it's already quite well thought out and balanced. Just a few things I suggest to change:

What I would add

What I would leave out

Split teaching tracks?

We could think about doing a teaching session split up, i.e. in two or three different rooms on different topics (e.g. ML, IBM, data handling). We could align this with the practice project tracks, so that attendees choose a track, get a teaching session that is relevant for that track, and can then start on their project.

Here are the topics I would like to teach:

Additionally, I could do the following (although I don't have a lot of experience with it yet):

Hi @veddox, thanks a lot for the inputs. I agree with most of your suggestions.

Regarding splitting tracks: I think it is best if we stay in the same room - it will be simpler to benefit from the help of each other, and it will be more conviviale. However, we could form separate "flocks" of desks, so that people can work in sub-groups.

I'll incorporate your suggestions within the workshop structure in the readme file. Once we are all happy with it, we can start working on our own tasks.
