Having similar issues on Window 8.1, although without the prompts. Upgrading to the latest version of Portable VirtualBox didn't help. It might just be VirtualBox, which I would like to have PVB use an updated version without possibly wiping out the Linux VM. (It probably won't, but I'm just trying to be cautious.)
