Any chance that the package can be updated to the latest version? (currently 4.3.4)

I second that it would be great to bring this project up-to-date (currently 4.3.6).

The DKMS should be handy when the linux-gpib version is rebuilt automatically (not by installing a new package) for each periodic security patching / OS kernel update cycle in a site with multiple machines using the gpib driver.

This copr repo is able to be added / patched against in a normal OS update workflow, so there is value to having this project (linux-gpib-packaging) maintained to provide releases that will work with recent Linux kernels. Apparently, support is included in (linux-gpib) as documented on SourceForge project page - up-to Linux 6.x was tested.

I've also seen an attempt to package linux-gpib in:

Not sure if it's built as a DKMS in above packages though. Other than that, there are a few more minimal gpib spec files located.

Perhaps, this one is the best bet at least for Fedora and EL compatible releases.
