Hm, well that's weird.

Have you tried to:
1. Jailbreak it again (clean jailbreak) with Seas0nPass (as it now supports
unthetered 4.4.4)
2. Install NitoTV (I used ATVFlash Black, but it costs money)
3. Install XBMC through NitoTV
4. Update XBMC through SSH from Cyberduck or similar
5. Try to use the latest 1.0.21 update of Icefilms

Where can I find the latest 1.0.21 Icefilms plugin for download?

@7:

You can download 1.0.21 from:
http://anarchintosh-projects.googlecode.com/svn/addons/plugin.video.icefilms/

The change log says:
"Fix for MegaUpload removing (temporarily?) wait time on free accounts"

1.0.21 plugin still not working.

Icefilms will let me select a movie/tv show
Then show 100% loaded, wait time is 0 seconds.
Screen goes blank then back to appletv start up

I'm at a loss, have been going at this for 2 days now.

But my apple tv 2 won't let me play any other video/add on.

Well, that happened to me too. You got XBMC Eden 11.0, right?

the latest update did the trick for me. But there seems to be a problem with
playing a movie. There's a script error.
