asy simply closes when trying to open 3d diagrams #361

Hi,

I'm trying to open this basic 3d example:

However I get this console output and nothing happens:

Probabaly there is a bug in your graphics driver; you may need to upgrade (or downgrade) them. Nothing has changed between Asymptote versions 2.82 and 2.83 that would suddenly cause this error.

It might be helpful to see the output with the -vvv command-line option.

P.S. Good tests for your graphics drivers are glxgears or glmark2.

glxgears and glmark2 run normally.

I'm running manjaro with kde.

It seems to be a problem with opengl however till now I never experienced any problems with drivers or 3d/opengl.

This line is the key to your problem: Offscreen context settings: Depth=16 Stencil=0 Accum=0

It means that you configured with offscreen support, not OpenGL support!

Check asy --version. You need to configure with ./configure --disable-offscreen (the default).
