No newsletter Confirmation Email send after fill the communications preference, Data Policy not accepted #160

We want to use the communication Setting page for Newsletter registration for anonymous users (because of gdpr). We checked that box on settings page. We use Drupal 7, civicrm 5.4.0, gdpr 2.6

1.) After fill out all the fields on communiaction settings page, no Group/ Newsletter confirmation Emails will be sent at all! Users are directly subscribed the the newsletter group. What about double opt in, in that case?

2.) in the backoffice stands the Data Policy is not accepted yet. But i accepted it. Another bug or maybe i missed something?

I´m looking for solutions. Thanks for helping out.

@FHMedia we'll need to run some tests with double opt in set. Will come back to you when we've done this. @TerryVeda FYI

Hi @veda-consulting / @TerryVeda, did you ever get around to further analysis of this issue? I seem to currently be able to still reproduce the issue whereby double opt-in is effectively disabled when the GDPR extension is enabled.

Thank you for continuing to develop this excellent extension!

@cmolava Branch v3.0 still seems to override civi core double opt-in settings when subscribed via comms preference page. @veda-consulting
