FR: Sync Groups => Lists & Custom field => Interests #227

I understand from reading the code & tests that currently this extension syncs membership of a CiviCRM group to either a Mailchimp List, or an Interest Group within that same Mailchimp List.

Has any consideration been given to syncing a Group to a List and some custom CiviCRM data (eg custom field with options) to the Mailchimp Interests associated with that list?

We may have an opportunity to engage this, but I'd want to flesh out a sensible approach with the maintainers first to ensure the best approach.

Withdrawing this suggestion before someone makes me deal with it 🚑

It sounds sensible - it could even be a clearer mapping, since custom fields can be checkboxes and the like - but it also is clear to me that there's very complicatd existing logic around how sync works, and I don't know it well enough to add to that yet :)
