pdf-tools installed but opening pdf's select yet DocView mode #145

I have installed pdf-tools via MELPA on my emacs in Debian. But when I open a pdf, it uses yet the DocView mode. What may be happening and what can I do to use pdf-tools?

Solution (at least with Debian version of the package -installed through apt install elpa-pdf-tools-), as reported in that email: once installed, running before anything the next line:

M-x pdf-tools-install
