In the EU more and more countries are making the legal requirements more strict when it comes to e-scooters etc.
In Austria the new law sets a limit for 250W "Nenndauerleistung" (Rated continuous power)
This describes the Watts that you are allowed to output continuous during a 30min timeframe. This would allow shorter bursts of power for acceleration or small uphill sections.
The Idea💡:
Add more advanced Watt limiting functionality that lets you specify peak power limits and power limits that should be applied "on average". A speed based watt limit curve would also be nice. That would allow users to "boost" at lower speeds to help counter the missing gear box.
These features would make sure VESC is a valid option for all kinds of street legal builds in the future :)
