I suppose (but not sure), that enabling Migration and SiegeAI doesn't add any attacks besides occasional converting of builders squads into attackers due to 1 chunk radius detection of my entities. Until new nests settle nearby player building, or player expands into those distant areas.
I was wrong. Attacks do occur regularly - once per minute a squad of three biters starts usually somewhere from the edge of the generated map and finally comes to player's defenses. It's so small and harmless that I didn't notice those biters comparing to pollution-triggerred or revenge squads. Probably it rises into something more hurtful with evolution rise. As I remember in Rampant 0.18 it was once per hour and/or every 10% evolution and it was an army coming from all sides. Anyway it's out of scope of this issue. Closing.
Hi, I turned off Migration, Peaceful and SiegeAI to survive in early game. Debug messages show, that all BaseAI go through random cycle of RAIDING, AGGRESSIVE and ONSLAUGHT. No one attacks me except small groups generated from pollution touched nests. The closest nests are 6-7 chunks away from my defenses perimeter. I see most enemies do have activity points.
As I remember Onslaught requires some nearby structures to be attacked, but Raiding and Aggressive - shouldn't they send attack waves regularly or some hordes less often? And send attackers more often than if Migration and SiegeAI are enabled. In last several games I noticed that nests must be in 2-4 chunks away from my buildings for any raiding parties to come from nearby AND far-away nests. Is something wrong here?
