I want to check that I'm understanding the results of BUSTED-PH correctly. If I obtain the following set of p-values:
test results p-value: >0.05
test results background p-value: <0.05
test results shared distributions p-value: <0.05
Could I reasonably conclude that selection is acting on my background branches and is not acting on the foreground branches? I'm ultimately hoping to be able to compare genes under positive selection in only foreground species to those under selection in only background species.
Good afternoon,

Thanks for the assistance! Megan
