One good way to get feedback if readers will understand it is to grab your friend and let them read it and see what they ask.

Project Goals

Visualizing Data

I think the intro is missing. Make it clear that they can start with univariate summaries. Then can then specify visual encodings (and filter?). Based on the specified view, they can then use related views. If desired, they can create multiple charts in parallel using wildcards.

I'd put customizing visualization as the last part of visualizing data. (Usually in an exploratory workflow, you might not need to do that.)

Why isn't "function pop-ups" a part of specify visual enocdings?

Customizing Visualizations

"Click this caret to open the field customizer. " and then what can you do. (Still missing)

Filter

by dragging the field to the filter area.

Unclear what dragging. (There is no image for dragging.) There is also no text describing the filter function. (Filter for Q, N, T are different)

Related Views

When a view is specified, Related Views will show related summaries, field suggestions, and alternative encodings for the current view.

This paragraph has an abrupt transition to "Related Views without a specified focus view".

Readers wouldn't know that details about related summaries, field suggestions, and alternative encodings are all in different pages. For this reason, I think better put these 3 in the same page.

Wildcard Field

by serving as "variables" over an enumerated set of fields

"Variable" generally means data field, so this reads confusing.

Present Wildcard Fields

Give an example how wildcard works. This is not descriptive enough.
