N: I got that, but what i am wondering is how the queen's egg, implanted in a baseliner and got inseminated by xenotype A, produced a worker with genes of xenotype B (the worker carries genes that xeno A, queen and baseliner doesn't have) (edited)
Vpnk: So we have Q, which is a Queen, H which is the Host of Xenotype h and the Drone D with xenotype d
And you say that Q-Egg in H fertilized by D results in genes from h ? Or from somewhere else?
N: Somewhere else
N: did more experimenting and the most that i got is the workers inheriting the hair color of the host
...
N:
1: I went into the settings and change dna inheritance to always get fathers dna, and now it works, my workers now are not generic workers any more||,Yay!||
2:Although it works now, it is a bit random with the following results:
(In this example let say Queen (Q) implants eggs, A carries/host the eggs, B inseminates the eggs (A and B are the same race) and C is another colonist with of different race from Q,A and B)
+The babies inherits genes from B and the worker xeno type/genes (most common scenario).
+The babies inherits A's and/or B's genes, but no worker xeno type/genes. (not as common)
+The babies have the worker xeno type/genes, but inherited genes from C who wasn't involved in the insemination. (half as common as the first scenario)
Right now the sample size is only around 7 babies or so, I'll try again to see if what I have found is consistent.
Sidenote: In the social tab I noticed one time a worker doesn't show who her father isbut I know who that is because i ordered him to inseminate the eggs myself. (Could the above results be because of some bugs in the game relationship thingy or something?)
It seems the Caste-Born children inherit genes from the host, which should not be possible at all.
All genes must be from the egg parents ...
I got the following report on Discord:
