Unfortunately I can't totally correlate which steps should run where, as #6277 is empty. I would have assumed that a merge on main would trigger a deploy to some environment. Perhaps that would have worked with the 'Deploy preview'. I will assume that you and @mattrussell36 have got this hashed out
