Fix the versioning to reflect in the Packages #28

Describe the bug We have various versions right now like 0.7.0beta4; however, it doesn't fully make it to the package files which only get the 0.7.0 portion of it. This makes it hard to setup Linux Repositories as we need unique versions between all the releases (alpha, beta, etc). This will make it harder for downstream users to integrate into their distros.

To Reproduce Run make package with different alpha/beta/final releases.

Expected behavior We can load packages into APT, RPM, etc and have unique versions right out of our GitHub releases.

I think we finally have this with 0.8.x. Let's see if it works!
