What is this pull request trying to do? Introduce macOS support to the 0.8.x series of releases (making the game compilable, as well as playable)
What release is this for? 0.8.x
Is there a project or milestone we should apply this to? Not sure

The Windows CI builds are going to keep failing until I get that stuff updated. But otherwise, this PR should be good to go.
