The player will eventually be able to rent or buy his own trucks (and hire drivers) which comes with responsibilities.

@ChillyKiwi What are the advantages of a warehouse owning or renting its own trucks?

If the warehouse owns the trucks they usually employ the drivers. If they use a different company's trucks they usually do not employ the drivers and are not responsible for truck maintenance costs or paying the driver's wages.
