losing place in feed after clicking external link #102

This is my only issue with the app - after clicking an external link, upon returning to the App, the news feed goes back up somewhere near to the top, and I think refreshes. It can take a long while or even be impossible to find the original post to comment after reading or watching the external link.

I have the same issue. After clicking an external link and opening it in Chrome Beta browser, when I return back to the app with the back button the feed seems to be okay. After 1-2 seconds it seems to reload the feed but the feed items change place, even though looking at the side scrollbar I happen to be at the same scrolling place.

On my slow tablet, when I click a link, I can sometimes watch it refresh the feed before it actually switches to the browser

Hi all,

I agree that this is annoying and it happens to me all the time as well. Unfortunately facebook uses this weird "linker" system that takes you to a separate page before opening the external URL, rather than linking directly to the URL. They have changed this functionality many times and it has caused Tinfoil to have this bug and it's a constant cat and mouse game.

I am currently looking at better solutions as well as a rewrite of the app that uses the new Chrome based WebView stuff that may make things a bit better and simpler.

That sounds like a good idea. As an aside, do you know if using the new Chrome system changes permission exposure at all? I wouldn't think so, just checking :)
