Hardware acceleration not working on Pi 4 #72

First of all, thanks for making this project. It was quick and easy to setup.

Today I installed the most recent release on LibreELEC 11.0.6. Based on what I have seen here, h264 and h265 acceleration should be working.

My install appears to be broken with regards to hardware acceleration. When I run, I get very poor performance at 1080p60fps. When I select "force hardware decode" I get an error message stating that my GPU does not support hardware decoding.

My host runs the latest version of the Sunshine appimage.

I don't know what hardware you use for LibreELEC but this sounds like https://github.com/veldenb/plugin.program.moonlight-qt/issues/68. Did you try the LibeELEC legacy image?

edit: Sorry, Pi4 :) Seems to be working on my Pi 4. Did you change settings on it?

No changes were made to the configuration in LibreELEC.

I ended up having success with running Android on the pi 4. (It was android 14 from konstakang) Hardware acceleration was working out of the box and the app was using it properly.
