Only errors are forced (the one's with the red background). Other than that, the configuration option should be observed. I have not been able to reproduce this and I have tried it in Linux, Windows and OS X. Which OS are you using? Did this happen right after an update of the project-ring package? Several problems have risen before during an update so the cleanest way to update this package is to restart Atom.
I'm on Yosemite and yes I restarted Atom many many times while checking out other packages. The notifications constantly appear identifying whether a project was loaded or not, disregarding my "Notifications" setting being unchecked. I will fiddle with it some more and maybe try uninstalling the package and reinstalling via terminal. I don't know. Try something different I guess? :)

I just installed Atom on my work machine this morning, synced the settings from my personal machine and I'm still receiving notifications whether a project has been loaded or not, and when I'm adding new projects. Notifications is unchecked on both machines.
OK, I found it at last. Please, update to version v0.32.1 and thank you for the feedback.
When the notifications setting is unchecked, I still receive popups that a project has or hasn't been loaded. Is this a forced notification, and if so, can all alerts/notifications be a part of this setting. I would prefer not receiving any popups.
