License unclear #182

Hi,

I just packaged velocyto.py 0.17.17 for GNU Guix, the reproducible functional package manager. I'm a little unclear on the license, though, because http://velocyto.org/velocyto.py/license/index.html says that the license is the Expat license (aka "MIT license"), while the repository declares the license to be BSD-2.

Could you please clarify which license actually applies?

Thank you very much!

@slinnarsson @pkharchenko could you please comment on this?

I don't particularly care which one it is, and I think they are essentially identical. To me, the BSD 2-clause license is easier to read and understand, so I propose we go with that.

Same here. Don’t care which one. We listed GPL-3 for velocyto.R DESCRIPTION file, but we don’t actually use any GPL code within, so that can be easily relaxed.
