I guess my eyes are very picky! You can see the two side by side here in measure 5 of 'Strange Fruit': screen shot 2013-08-15 at 5 07 38 pm

I thought I saw that the b (flat symbol) in the first one was larger than the other. I rasterized this and pulled it into Photoshop and it's only 1 and half (taking into account aliasing) pixels taller and one pixel wider. I have no idea why that would be, but it's not worth pursuing any more than this.

This is weird...:) Maybe you should report this to the lilypond developers. I can actually see what you are talking about now. They would be interested in something like this. I think this is a REAL bug in lilypond...
