Progress from Friday
This has gotta be cleaned up. @soohoon90 , can you come up with a better looking version of this? Also, some of the content needs a bit of changing, but we can talk about this when we work on it later this week.
Okay, we need to add a lot to the content. I've looked at some other groups' posters, and they're intense.
We could describe a lot more here, such as heroku's architecture and how it handles load balancing + scaling.
We could also list the different technologies for the various aspects of how we built this, such as testing frameworks, build infrastructures, source control, application, etc.
We should also talk about who this problem addresses, how we solve the problem, and how we constructed our solution. This should include stuff like explanations for template generation, data gathering + processing, etc.
I am on this, could you send me the original file? Where was the template again? does anyone have any other examples?

Let me know if it doesn't work

WIP
give me the bull shit write ups and and I will put some screenshots too
I am thinking organizing it as
WHAT IS IT?
WIP 2
What do you think of those sections? I think they are pretty straight forward and easy to write.
This is the layout that we need. Also, we need to have the SE, Waterloo Mathematics, Waterloo Engineering and Yelp logos on the poster itself, so pretty much just work off the template provided. If you could also make the pockithub logo (very similar to the one in the image below), that'd be great. Thanks.
Don't use a coloured background, but instead use a white background with coloured accents (borders, text, headings, etc.). Don't use orange, since we want the poster to reflect the look and feel of our app.
Since our app is mostly based off of jQuery Mobile, I think we should base a similar colour scheme for our product logo (and by extension, our poster). So use the colors listed here and use mostly the black, white and dark grey. Only use the green and blue for accents, and don't use too many colour accents.
The fonts are all your territory, but please make sure to choose a sans-serif font for the body text, and a serif font for the titles/headings. We want to make this product have a very ultra-modern feel, almost science-fiction-ish. So use that, along with GitHub-ish design motifs to design this please.
Thanks a lot @soohoon90 ! :)
P.S. Include a QR Code to pockithub.com in the "QR" box!
Actually I didn't see your second version of the layout. It's decent, and pretty similar to the picture above.
So what I'm thinking is:
And then on top of these things, we can change the styling + colour palette, and we'll fill in the content from there. Sound good?
K I will have update styling up after dinner can we start a google doc for the content?

So what I'm thinking is:
- move "Team" to the top, and shift "Background" and "Purpose" down
- either:
- UI + screen flow can be integrated into the "Proposed Solution" area
- or
- We can move "Proposed Solution" to the right side, along with "Team", "Background" and "Purpose" and the "Proposed Solution" area can be changed to the area for UI + screen flow

green version
cyan version
dark version
I still believe the current layout is good because
1) It Introduces team, the problem & product & target audience (background & purpose) 2) use cases & scenarios & Screenshots right in the center (grabs attention and show cases the product) 3) Architecture and techstack goes well together and we don't need 2 tech stack & detail boxes
we also have to make sure that we have enough info because each of those small boxes are about the size of a letter sized paper
