Finder not updating #203

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
After unzipping a file, the original is moved to the trash but the unzipped
file is not renamed
unless I click on another folder and then back again. OS 10.6.1, Unarchiver
2.0.3, any zip file,
preferences as attached.

That would be a Finder bug, not an Unarchiver bug.

Note that Finder is updated properly after unzipping a file with either Archive
Utility or StuffIt Expander.

Neither The Unarchiver nor probably any other app does anything specific to
make
Finder update. That is entirely its own responsibility, and if it fails, that
is a problem
with it.

I suggest filing a bug with Apple.

Are you certain? This Q&A from Apple seems to say otherwise:
