Remove whatsapp contacts

Hi all, I'm looking for a way to remove old contacts. Since whatsapp synchronize it's contacts with the mobile phone, it has to sent to the server the new contacts list if you remove some of your contacts. The idea is to avoid having a large number of contacts and being blocked. Any idea of how can it be done? Tranks

WhatsApp doesn't keep a list of contacts per user. The synchronization is only used to check if a phone number is registered in WhatsApp.
