What happened?

Bug happens only in UEFI mode and only on WinPE 2021.12.20 Russian version by Sergei Strelec. X:\Windows\System32\ventoy.log not creating, nor ventoy directory. Seems like ISO not mapping, since I can't find it in File Explorer, hence WinPE can't find necessary files in ISO root directory.

In Legacy BIOS mode it works just as good as previous version, ISO maps as virtual CD drive.

I'm afraid latest 2021.10.15 English version working as good as 2021.10.14 Russian version, which is the same but different language. I described it as previous version in first message. English version of 2021.12.20 isn't exist, so I can't give URL to assumable non-working ISO in English.

Do u try in virtual machine? If yes, u must try in real machine, since virtual machine so weirdly mechanism load bootable but not with device on that bootable after boot ISO

Check that russian ISO, it was loaded or not?

Lets try unpack ISO, pick only SSTR folder and save it in VENTOY drive

I tried this on real machine in the first place, and only then tested it in VMware - it's all the same bug.

Lets try unpack ISO, pick only SSTR folder and save it in VENTOY drive

And boot what, inner wim files? Or you meant ISO it self, without ventoy? Without ventoy it boots fine.

Hm, I guess it's ISO issue. Sergei Strelec issued 2022.01.04 version, which lists one important change:
