More Info:

I've tried the same with this USB-Stick on Win 10. Works fine. I've had this problem with other USB-Devices (2 Sticks and 1 Harddrive) on Win11 as well and i don't think that these devices are faulty.

WriteFile error bRet:0 WriteSize:4608 dwSize:0 ErrCode:5 ErrCode 5 means access denied Maybe the USB disk was occupied by the system or some other process(es).

Maybe your have third-party antivirus installed on Windows 11 such as Acronis, Eset, etc.? This may block writes to boot sectors.

Ventoy does not work for Windows 11 iso when run from Ubuntu 20.04. The USB disk appears to be created, but it fails on boot. I ended up going with woeUSB instead. For the record, Balena-Etcher also failed. This is likely a change that windows is requiring.
