Unfortunately this has caused my .dat persistent storage to be corrupted.
It seems like since the persistent storage is a single file, the data recovery attempts I have made have so far been unsuccessful.
I am making this issue to see if there are any data recovery options to get even some of the files from the .md file, and to request potentially have built in data recovery options.
Tools I have used so far:
xfs_repair (all parameters)
testdisk-7.2
I am still very new to Linux and Ventoy, so I may be doing something wrong

What happened?
It appears the Linux Mint ISO has a known bug with 21.3 on live USBs that prevents it from shutting down properly. https://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?t=415892
