Tested some ISO's fail with Ventoi (but running with Rufus)! #925

Hi everyone,

recently I collected more and more ISO's. For years I use "Rufus" to create bootable USB's, but now I need a tool with can handle multiboot.

Ventoi looks very capable but there are huge errors with some ISO's (I used a Dell Latitude E5540 with Legacy boot mode and secure boot disabled)

In the following I name my tested images and the status (work = no problems and run fine):

NOT WORKING WITH VENTOI (but work with Rufus)!

Working fine:

Here general fixes are needed. My assumption is that the the boot preocdure can't see any boot files because of the compressed ISO-files). But my knowledge there is very limited...

Please can you help me in fixing this general bug (I'd be happy to continue to enjoy the program.).

Thanks, I find out about that before.I compare lot of tools for multiboot, and unfortunately Ventoy is currently at the very weakest program because it fails to lots of images. Not only Windows XP but also many other very important ISOs will crash with it.Actually a pity, many platforms present Ventoy as the only app that's up to date...

Windows XP will never be supported because it works differently and huge portion of Ventoy would have to be rewritten. For XP use Easy2Boot.— You are receiving this because you authored the thread. I have tried different Windows XP installation ISOs too, retail, OEM, 32bit and 64bit, all ended up with bluescreen.
