I know that persistence for android-x86 distro is not mentioned as being tested, so I tried I have tried in the following way:
Ventoy was installed on external USB magnetic Hard Drive, GPT partition, Secure Boot disabled
I created a persistence_ext3_4G_DATA.dat file using the tool TopoResize v0.71, based on intructions for other Android based distros
I have applied the VentoyPlugson.sh/Browser/Persistence Plugin procedure (assuming ext3 dat file is supported)
I have modified android-x86 boot menu(s) (i.e. both grub and efi) with DATA=/dev/mapper/vtoy_persistent to use the ext3 dat file when performing "Live CD Boot"
At this point Android Bootanimation never ends, maybe I am doing something in he wrong way
I have also tried with the ext4 persistence data files provided in this repo, but they did not seem to work.
