Is this ready? Should I do a 1.0 release of what's on master and a 2.0 release with this?

Yes, do a 1.0 release w/ what's on master and a 2.0 release with this, although I expect that I may need to change the cryptonym format again based on discussions w/ Protocol Labs... Just go ahead and do the release and we'll make another breaking change if we have to. I don't think the validators care about the bit strings yet.

I just checked and the key format change I might make doesn't affect this PR, so release/rebase away.
