Wrong 7th Benediction at matins 8-15-2013 #217

What steps will reproduce the problem?

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The 7th Benediction is "Ille nos benedicat, qui sine fine vivit et regnat. 
Amen." It should be "Evangelica lectio sit nobis salus et protectio. Amen." 
Oddly, the corresponding English Benediction is correct: "May the Gospel's holy 
lection be our safety and protection. Amen."

Please provide any additional information below.
The problem does not seem to be specific to the year, because it will also 
occur on the same date in 2014. It does not occur on 12-8-2013, so it does not 
seem specific to Marian feasts. Looking at the changes to 
web/www/horas/Latin/Sancti/08-15r.txt on August 14-15, I don't see anything 
that would be a likely cause of this problem.

I've found the change that triggered the bug, and it's fairly bizarre. It was 
r1671, which changed the citation for the Gospel from
!Luke 1:41-50
to
!Luc. 1:41-50

This causes Pofficium.pl to change the blessing from "Evangelica lectio..." to 
"Ille nos benedicat". Using "Luc" instead of Luc." has the same effect. I don't 
know why this happens, and I expect it would require a lot of digging through 
the code for me to find out.

I found this Unix command useful in narrowing down the revision that caused the 
bug:
perl web/cgi-bin/horas/Pofficium.pl 
'date1=8-15-2013&command=prayMatutinum&version=Rubrics 1960' | grep 'Ille nos 
benedicat'
