I can add that I was having this problem 2 years ago while experimenting with
an Italian translation. At the time, I noted that class III feasts of saints
had both the hymn de tempore and that de sanctis, and that this happened at
both Lauds and Vespers (1960 rubrics). At the time, my guess was that it was
caused by the incomplete state of my translation.
Here are a couple of other interesting cases on the current live site. I use
Lauds, but you'll see similar results with prayVespera:
1) Ember friday of Pentecost has an English translation of the correct hymn
(Beata nobis gaudia) followed by an Italian translation of Aurora caelum
purpurat (for Eastertide).

2) The feast of St. Mary Magdalene (III class) has the English translation of
the hymn proper to the saint, followed by the hymn of the ferial office (Alea
diei nuntius, for feria III per annum).

For the record: Happens at '62 Lauds on (Saturday) 05-03-2014, too.
