What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The end of Responsory1 is wrong. Characters in Lectio2 and Lectio3 are garbled.
Please provide any additional information below.
The error was introduced by r2650, all of whose changes to this file are wrong.
Characters were garbled by incorrect encoding. The responsory was changed in an
incorrect manner. Specificially, the part after te versicle "Gloria in excelsis
Deo" was changed from
R. Gaudet exercitus Angelorum: quia salus aeterna humano generi apparuit.
V. Gloria Patri, et Filio, et Spiritui Sancto.
R. Hodie nobis caelorum Rex de Virgine nasci dignatus est, ut hominem perditum~
ad coelestia regna revocaret: * Gaudet exercitus Angelorum: quia salus aeterna~
humano generi apparuit.
to
&Gloria
R. Gaudet exercitus Angelorum: quia salus aeterna humano generi apparuit.
There are two problems with this:
1. &Gloria cannot be used here with the 1960 rubrics, because it will be
automatically eliminated from the output (as can be seen with the above URL).
2. This is not the correct ending of the responsory. After the versicle "Gloria
in excelsis Deo", the breviary has "Gaudet. Gloria Patri. (Et repetitur R.)
Hodie nobis (usque ad V.) Gloria in excelsis." So the responsory was already
correct, and should not have been changed.
r2650 made similar changes to Responsory1 in
web/www/horas/Latin/SanctiM/12-25.txt. I suspect this was incorrect, but an
appropriate edition of the breviary should be checked in order to verify this.
The attached tarball reverses the changes to
web/www/horas/Latin/Sancti/12-25.txt and corrects its Italian translation to
correspond.
