typos, including incorrect representation of oe ligature #259

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

The attached tarball corrects errors in several files. Two contained typos:

web/www/horas/Latin/Martyrologium*/10-14.txt: txiumphum -> triumphum
web/www/horas/Latin/Sancti/10-10.txt: corrected accents of "suscepísset ex
obœdiéntia"

10 other files had the oe ligature incorrectly represented as U+009C instead of
U+0153 (cf. #250). This seems likely to be the result of specifying the
original encoding as ISO-8859-1 instead of Windows-1252 when converting to
Unicode. ISO-8859-1 and Windows-1252 are the same for most characters, but not
for those in the range 0x81-0x9F, which is where the oe ligature is found in
Windows-1252.

If Magyar uses any other characters in the 0x80-09F range, other errors could
have been introduced by the incorrect conversion.

The capital OE ligature (0x8C in Windows-1252) would be another victim, if it
occurred in any incorrectly converted file.

based on my search, the capital OE ligature doesn't seem to have been used in
any misconverted file.
