Plan and execute move to GitHub or Bitbucket #270

Google has just announced that Google Code (code.google.com) will be shutting 
down. It's probably a good idea, then, to plan and execute a move of this 
project to GitHub or Bitbucket (both have free plans) sooner rather than later.

I wasn't sure whether to file this under "enhancement proposal" or "defect 
report", since neither category really applies, so I chose the former.

Google is providing a free GitHub-import service:

I performed an import to my personal GitHub account, just to see how it works 
and what the results look like. It took under 20 minutes and you can review the
