Several changes related to:

dependencies (still not ideal)
documentation
automated tests
remove dead/obsolete code
styling (rustfmt)
bug fixes
workflow improvements
remove ggez/imgui infavor of a more simple minifb crate

The changes are collected in small, incremental commits (the exception is the commit where ggez/imgui are replaced with minifb) to make it easy to review this PR step by step.
