Since I have gotten so much value from the Versioneye service I decided to see if I could contribute some effort to your codebase. After I forked the maven plugin and took a look at it with IDEA, there were a whole series of warnings that it offered about the code. I applied as many as seemed reasonable.
I declared a number of maven plugins in the pom, which makes it possible to invoke those plugins from IDEA with a single mouse click.
Following in the Versioneye spirit I bumped the versions of all of the dependencies and plugins to current.
I hope that you will find my changes useful. I wouldn't want you to feel as if I believed that you were my sugar daddy.
